Pedro M. Ramirez, MD, FANS, FCNS, is a board-certified neurosurgeon. Dr. Ramirez completed his medical education at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru, followed by general surgery training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. He completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of New Mexico with a year of interest dedicated to spine surgery.

He is trained in General Neurosurgery and Neuro-Critical Care and Spine Surgery. Dr. Ramirez has received the "UNM Neuroscience" Award for resident research. He has been published in peer-review journals and has lectured nationally and internationally in neurosurgical forums. He has written book chapters such as Neurosurgery Knowledge Update here he wrote the chapter of Brain Abscess.

Dr. Ramirez specializes in Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Pain and Neuromodulation. He has a special interest in Sacro-Iliac joint dysfunction and development of technology. He has trained younger neurosurgeons and continues to educate newer generations of physicians.

Dr. Ramirez is committed to offer the safest and most effective procedures utilizing the latest technology, advanced diagnostics, and minimally invasive techniques, while embracing a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Dr. Ramirez is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
